Elizabeth undertakes a wide variety of general commercial litigation matters, acting for both individuals and corporate entities.
Elizabeth’s main practice areas include broad and varied contractual disputes, intellectual property issues, professional negligence, debt collection and enforcement, and contentious property matters.
Recent Matters include:
- Acting for two well known casino and gaming operators in respect of contract disputes, debt collection and enforcement proceedings.
- Acting for companies alleging professional negligence against solicitors, surveyors, and insurers.
- Acting for a photographic management agency in respect of a breach of its copyright.
- Acting for several companies in the leisure and entertainment sector in respect of passing off, infringement of copyright, and infringement of trademark matters.
- Advising on the implications of the Commercial Agents (Council Directive) Regulations 1993 in respect of the proposed termination of an international agency agreement, including conflict of laws issues.
- Acting for companies which have been served with a statutory demand/winding-up petition.
- Acting for several bridging finance companies in respect of enforcement of their charges over properties.
