Joanne Gregory

Jo was an Assistant Solicitor at Stringer Saul LLP (now Fasken Martineau LLP) and joined Joelson Wilson LLP in 2006 as Head of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department, being made Partner in 2008.

Expertise

Jo undertakes a broad range of high value contractual matters, acting for individuals and companies alike. This experience includes Defective Product Liability, Professional Negligence matters against Solicitors, Surveyors and Insurance Brokers; breach of Warranty Claims; Judicial Review, Property Litigation and Insolvency matters.

Jo has a particular specialism in the field of contentious Intellectual Property built up over many years. This includes Trade Mark Infringement, Passing Off, Copyright Infringement, Registered and Unregistered Design Rights, Domain Names Disputes and Moral Rights together with Reputation Management for clients, advising in respect of Libel and sensitive media issues.

Recent Matters include:

  • Successfully mediating a multi million pound Defective Product Liability matter on behalf of the Claimant.
  • Obtaining Judgment on liability by Consent on behalf of a Claimant in a multi million professional negligence matter against an Insurance Broker, with quantum to be assessed.
  • Negotiating a successful outcome for a well known dried fruit business involving Intellectual Property Rights and shareholder issues.
  • Successfully negotiating various Undertakings in respect of a Trade Mark Infringement/Passing off Matter for a well known Chef.

Outside Interests:

Jo enjoys walking, yoga, ballet and opera, good parties, art and travel (particularly India).
